The beauty of Michigan's U.P.
It is surprising on how many people have never taken the opportunity to cross the Mighty Mac and take advantage of the beauty of the top 1/3 of our state. With having family roots in Michigan's U.P. since the late 1800s I have had the opportunity to spend much time up there visiting family and sight seeing. As soon as you cross the bridge it is like going into another world. Even in some places the language changes. Dem yupers have dere own way of speakin. aye. I love it. So if you have the chance take a trip to the U.P. and you will see what I mean. I will soon be posting some of my favorite places to see.

Another fine Chicago Pub
Last on our stopping spots on our Chicago trip was O'Shaughnessy's Public House on North Ravenswood Ave. We were there for a surprise party. The staff there did a fantastic job taking care of the crowd that we brought in. The food was good and the drinks were too. Great job guys Thank You.

Chicago Pub
While on our visit in Chicago on Jan 10th we stopped at the Duke Of Perth Scottish Pub on North Clark Street. This establishment had a cozy atmosphere with a fireplace, authentic decor and a beautiful Mahogany Bar. They are featured for having one of the worlds largest selections of single malt scotch whisky, over 90 types. The food that we had was great and if you have never tried it before, I would recommend a double chocolate stout beer. I look forward to stopping in again on our next trip there.

We had a great weekend in Chicago
We went to Chicago this past weekend and had a great time. We stayed at the City Suites Hotel on the north end of the city. This hotel has a lot of character. With it being built in the 1920s and even though it has been renovated it still had the style and the charm of hotels of its era. I like that! The staff was great and all of the rooms were clean. We did have a little snag, they were overbooked on doubles but the staff made up for the mistake by giving me 2 single Queens for the price of 1 Double. That worked out fine for me! Would I go there again or recommend it to others? Yes!

Some things to think about before going on a cruise
Vacations are supposed to be relaxing. While you are planing your cruise take a little extra time and go a day or two early so you won't have to be rushed trying to get to the boat in case of a delay at the airport or any unexpected happening. It would just be terrible to miss the boat because of a delay somewhere else. Take your time, relax and enjoy.
Always remember trip insurance.

Don't forget your Flowers
With Christmas almost upon us, there is still enough time to order your flowers. There are several beautiful arrangements to choose from for the holidays.
